The drive to Revelstoke, British Columbia is arguably the most spectacular drive in Canada. Travelling from the east, you pass through two National Parks in the Selkirk Mountains, featuring views of white-water rivers, pristine forests, dramatic peaks, and impressive glaciers. Travelling from the west, your journey takes you through the scenic Okanagan Valley. If you are renting a vehicle, please request your vehicle is equipped with winter tires for your commute into the interior. Four popular rental companies are Hertz, Thrifty, Budget and National.

Highway Conditions/Road Closures

Getting to Revelstoke Mountain Resort

From the Trans Canada Highway: take the first exit into Revelstoke if travelling from the East (Calgary, Banff), or the second exit into Revelstoke if travelling from the West (Kamloops, Kelowna, Vancouver). Turn left at the first stop sign (4th Street). Follow 4th Street South until Nichol Road. Turn left onto Nichol Road.  Turn right onto Camozzi Road (at 'T' intersection), which will lead you to the base of the Resort.

From Downtown Revelstoke: Travel south on Victoria Road. Turn left onto 4th street. Turn left onto Nichol Road. Turn right onto Camozzi Road, which will lead you to the base of the Resort.

Parking for owners, hotel guests and space permitting, valet parking, is available at Nelsen Lodge with ample parking available for day visitors in our outside lots.

 

Road Conditions

The mountain highways around Revelstoke are susceptible to closures and poor conditions. It is highly advisable to check the current road conditions at Drive B.C before beginning your drive to Revelstoke. You can also receive an up-to-date road report by calling 1-800-550-4997. Driving to Revelstoke during the winter can be challenging if your vehicle is not properly equipped for the roads. Please ensure your vehicle has proper winter tires.

Attention: U.S. Travelers

Traveling to Revelstoke by car is easy. British Columbia borders the four US states of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Several American Interstates and major highways lead directly to the Canadian Border.  All American State drivers' licenses are valid in Canada and the local traffic laws and road signs are very similar. U.S. and Canadian citizens will need to present either a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative compliant document, or a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate.

Implemented on June 1, 2009, all persons travelling by car between the United States and Canada are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.
