AST 1

This introductory avalanche course is for anyone planning on going into the backcountry. Basic avalanche phenomena and safe mountain travel are discussed, practiced and taught by our Pro Patrol who follows the curriculum established by the Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA). The AST Level 1 is the prerequisite for the AST Level 2 and for continued training in professional and industry avalanche courses offered by the CAA.

Note: All program participants will be asked to sign a Release of Liability Waiver prior to the start of the course. Participants under the age of 19 will need to have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.

Ages: 16+ Course Fees: $218.00 - Minimum group of 4, Maximum group of 8.

Level 1 Prep Course

The Level 1 Prep course is designed for teens looking to take the CSIA Level 1 course. This program is taught by Level 1 course conductors who will provide course specific instruction to prepare particpants for the CSIA Level 1 course.

Age: 14-16 Price: $228 per person

Minimum group of 3, maximum group of 8

CSIA Level 1 Course

Level 1 certification with instruction provided by CSIA level 1 course conductors. This program is for confident parallel skiers.
Time: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Price: $368 (Half price lift tickets for participants).

Subaru Freeskiing World Tour

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is thrilled to announce a three year commitment to host the Subaru Freeskiing World Tour, the first event kicks off January 6-10, 2010.

The Canadian Freeskiing Championships at Revelstoke Mountain Resort will showcase some of RMR's most spectacular terrain including high alpine bowls, chutes, cliffs and gladed features that will push even the most veteran freeskiers to their limit.
